Maci's 15

With December so busy, I'm surprised I even remembered to take some pictures of Maci's birthday. I'm posting it a little late as her actual birthday is December 18th. I'm still in denial that she is 15, so I still pretend that she is 10. Her birthday is so close to Christmas that I never feel like making a cake because our counters are filled with goodies. So this year I stuck candles in a pan full of rolls. She didn't even complain. It did take her three breaths to blow out her candles, which only proves my point that she is getting too old.



She got a new purse, some wall decorations, and a new journal. We also let her pick out some fabric for some curtains in her room, which I finished today. I'm sure you would never guess that they are hot pink with lime green and orange in them. The brighter the better for her. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MACI. WE LOVE YOU!!

More Braces

Today Maci got braces on her bottom teeth. The top tooth that we were waiting for finally came down but wasn't exposed enough to put a full bracket on. So they lasered part of her gum so they could get a small bracket on it to help pull it down. Then they put her bottom ones on. She chose "rose and lime" and her rubber band colors (kind of Chrismasy). We left the orthodontists office and went to the grocery store. While we were there, two of her brackets popped off. How frustrating! So we went back over to the orthodontist's office and they glued them back on. There's still a lot of work to do in her mouth, but it's coming along.
