Blessings #16 - LINDSAY

L - Loves Ronnie

I - Ices cakes. She took one cake decorating course and has been making wedding, birthday, and many other types of cakes for people ever since.

N - Nice to a fault. She'd do anything for anyone if there was any possible way.

D - Decorates her house for every season and holiday.
Devoted to family and friends

S - SHOES!!! She loves them buys them, wears them, hoards them.
Sunbeam teacher.

A - Aunt to Gwen and Phoebe. She dotes on her nieces.
Ambitious. She scrapbooks (digital and regular), does all sorts of crafts, wants to learn to make quilts and crochet and can. She works full time on top of all of that.

Y - Yearns to go to beauty school. Hopefully she'll find a way to do it soon.

She is so outgoing (so different from the little toddler who hid behind me whenever anyone said anything to her) and doesn't know a stranger. She can't go anywhere without seeing someone she knows. She calls me several times a week and keeps me involved in her life. She has friends over every week to watch Bachelor. She has a great sense of humor. Halloween is one of her favorite holidays because she loves to dress up in costumes (she's bopeep in the photo below). She is a fun person to be around. There's never a dull moment around her. She's a great blessing in my life!!

Emma-Leigh's Junior Prom

Emma-Leigh had a great time at her Jr. Prom. Lindsay was suppose to come and do her hair for her but she ended up with other plans, so Emmi did it herself and it looked very nice. Here are a few pictures of her getting ready for the big night.

Here is a picture of our lawn this evening, April 16th. The past week warmed up slightly at the beginning and the grass actually started to turn green. So I had to get these pictures of the green grass peeking above the snow trying not to suffocate. Hang in there blades! You shall prevail!

Blessings #15- LOGAN

I have said many times that my family is my biggest blessing. I thought that I would give each one of them their own post and let them know what a blessing they are to me. Logan is my oldest, therefore the first.

L - loves family history--I mean LOVES family history. I've never seen anyone who spends more time working on it who is not retired or something. He loves all phases of it from finding ancestors on the internet to going to cemeteries to take pictures of headstones. How grateful I am that he is so into it. It is such a challenge for me.

O - outstanding father. He has two special little girls that we all love so much. Gwen is 21 months and Phoebe is 2 months.

G - graduated from college with an Applied Math degree.

A - Asian missionary. He loved his mission in Taiwan. As my first missionary, he was so excited to serve and never let on that he was nervous. When asked if he was nervous he responded "No, Mom, that would be the natural man".

N - number 1 Suns fan. Unfortunately, the Suns didn't make the playoffs this year but he isn't a fair weather fan. He has loved the Suns since he was old enough to know what a basketball was. He watches every game he can and monitors the scores on the computer on the games he can't watch.

Logan has always been a good example for my other children. Education has always been important to him. He was reading by the time he was 3 years old. He even read the scriptures with us at that age. He loves anything to do with numbers, hence the math major. Statistics is his passion and he can tell you about every stat imaginable in basketball. He did his senior project on finding a better way to rank pro basketball players. Then he presented it to a group of professors to be judged against others and his was the best.




Logan, I'm very proud of all your accomplishments and your dedication to your little family and to the gospel. You are a true blessing in my life.

Our Long Lost SON?

Maci is definitely our craziest child. When she gets with her friend, Kaelyn, they do some pretty nutty things. The other day, when we were out of town, of course, they decided that they were going to become men. They went crazy with an eyeliner pencil and lowered their voices. They drew on unibrows, which is the farthest thing from reality for Maci since she has NO eyebrows (OK, a few). They even drew "Mom" tattoos on their arms. They looked kind of convincing but........

They couldn't fool the dog! He knew right away who it was.

Blessings #14 - Prophets

Every six months I look forward to general conference. I guess six months is about as long as I can go without a real boost to my spirit. I admit that when I was young I would look forward to general conference because I got to stay home in my pajamas for church. Now, although I often still sit around in my pajamas to watch conference, I look forward to hearing all the news of the church but most of all I love the feeling I get when I hear the general authorities and the prophet speak. They never beat on the pulpit and preach of hellfire and damnation. They quietly remind us of the things we should be doing in order to progress in this life. They invite us to do better and to love our fellow men. They invite all people to come to Christ. I always come away feeling like I can perform my callings better and make improvements in my life and set goals that will bring me closer to my Heavenly Father. Thank heaven that there is a prophet on the earth today that we can listen to and know that what he tells us is true and we can follow his counsel without hesitation.

Blessings #13 - My Job

I left my camera at Lindsay's house the last time I was there so I scanned my files to find some pictures of the people I work with. I have the privilege of working in a fourth grade classroom this year. Susan Mason is the classroom teacher. She has such a way with the kids and they all love her. The pictures I found were of last year's Halloween party. The kids had such a great time. They are happy, fun-loving and all around great kids. I am very lucky to have such a great job.
