We had our girls' camp this year at Badger Creek Ranch, which is owned by BYU-Idaho. At this camp, the counselors hired by the camp challenge the girls to be courageous and to stretch their comfort limits. Most of them did it and for the most part were glad for the experience. One of the most challenging courses was the climbing wall, which once accomplished, ended in riding down a zip line. I estimate that it is about 35 feet high. There was also a giant swing where we were hoisted to the top of the same climbing tower and when we let go of our rope, we swang all the way across a clearing. What a rush!! I actually did this one but nobody had a camera. I was told I had the best scream though.

They also got to ride horses and go canoeing. It was a great time. That's Emma-Leigh in the green.

This is a picture of all of us after our testimony meeting as we were getting ready to pack up and go home.

I would just like to signify that I am in that last picture.....I'm almost all the way to the left, in the front row...wearing a black shirt and sunglasses =)
Patti-it was so fun to catch up on everything you've been doing!! Camp looked awesome! Also- love the new cars! That's so fun. We're hoping our putter of a van will give us a few more years. No car payments is a happy place...of course having a new car is a happy place, too! And how fun that you got to be in AZ for a bit in a resort! Those are the most relaxing trips. How is Gina?? She needs to blog!!! :) Great to see you're all doing well!
Actually mom, I believe you estimated that climbing wall at 100 feet, not 35 haha. It was I who said 35...and who actually climbed it! :P
Hey now, hey now...I climbed it too.....and quite a bit faster! ...of course that's just because I was so scared I HAD to get it over with....but that doesn't REALLY matter.... =P
Wow! I wish we could have done something like that for girls' camp when I was in young womens. That sounded like a blast! I am sorry that you have had trouble getting on my comment page. I don't know what the deal is, but it is nice to know that you are trying. Thanks.
It looks way fun...I'm proud that you did the wall/zip-line and I don't doubt for a second that you had the best scream! :)
