Footprints in the Snow

And I do mean footprints, not shoeprints. Doug walked out barefooted to get the paper. That man loves his paper A LOT! However, I can't say I've never done this but the picture is priceless.

UN-assembly Line?

A couple of weeks ago when we came home, we found that the snow had come off the roof and was blocking our garage with a huge ridge of snow. I didn't think to take a picture until we had shoveled half of it But then the Emmi and Maci took over and made "a game" out of it. First Maci put snow in Emmi's shovelthen Emmi would throw it over her head into the big snowpile off from the driveway.

It took twice as long, but they had fun.

Brendan & Shannon's Wedding

Brendan and Shannon were married on March 5, 2010. The only glitch in the day is that it was very cold. Oh, and that Gwen and Phoebe got sick and Rachelle wasn't able to attend. But everything went really well and we all enjoyed the day.

Lindsay made their wedding cake

I had to throw in this picture of Maci's red toes to show how cold it was

Haircut Time

Rhoda's hair was getting so long she couldn't see and we didn't have time to get her groomed so we decided to try it ourselves. It took 3 people to hold her down while I ran the clippers. She turned out looking pretty good though.

The Joys of Idaho

The first couple of times we have to shovel the driveway, we kind of enjoy it. But it doesn't take long until it isn't so fun any more. We put Brendan and Shannon to work on it one day. Brendan got initiated back very quickly.

I do love the icicles that form on the house though. They get so long and pretty. There's one in our back yard that almost reaches the ground.

Emma-Leigh's A Legal Adult

I'm such a slacker. It has been so long since I blogged. One of the main events of the last month is Emmi's 18th birthday. Where have the years gone? Just a couple of years ago, she looked like this.

Now she's a woman. (Did I just say the W word?) I only got a couple of shots of her birthday because her friends gave her a surprise party while we were in Boise. But these are the gifts she received from us.
A new children's song book, which she has hardly put down since she got it

And a new bed set to put on her new queen bed.

Emmi, you have always been such a sweet little girl. I wish you would stay that way--little, I mean. You ARE still sweet.
Thanks for being a great daughter. We love you.

Brendan's Engaged!!!!

I know it is awfully fast. My last post was Brendan getting home and now he's engaged. Shannon waited for him and we knew they were going to get married. They have set March 5th as their date in the Idaho Falls Temple. Talk about hitting the ground running! The next month will be a major whirlwind, I'm sure.
